WHISTLER

Whistler earns its reputation every single day.

Whistler Blackcomb is North America's benchmark ski resort. two connected mountains and over 8,000 acres of terrain ranging from glaciated peaks to old growth forest. The village is warm and unpretentious, built around people who ski hard and let go of it completely once the boots come off.

Picture yourself dropping into a bowl on Blackcomb in the morning, then walking straight into a lively, pedestrianised village for a drink by mid afternoon.

ARRIVE PREPARED

BASE

Merino thermals.

MID LAYERS

A versatile insulated layer that also works standalone off mountain.

OUTERWEAR

A shell with a genuinely high waterproof rating, sealed seams, a hood that holds up in wind. Whistler's wet snow makes this the priority layer here. Spring skiers can lighten up during the day but should keep a warm layer for village evenings, which stay cold well into March.

APRÈS

Whistler's village is one of the best places in the world to be after skiing. It's lively and social, but the standard of dressing is intentionally relaxed rather than dressed up.

Think shearling boots, a good puffer, statement knitwear. Less tailored than Courchevel, less bold than Aspen, more comfortable and considered.

CLIMATE

-20 to 0°C in peak winter, milder at village base, colder and windier up on the peaks.

PEAK SEASON

December to April. March is the snowiest month of the season, with best snow typically Jan to Feb and spring skiing strong through March.

SNOW & TERRAIN

Huge vertical (over 1,600m), genuine variety: long groomers, glades, bowls and glacier skiing on Blackcomb. Terrain suits everyone from first timers to experts, famous for its size and consistency rather than deep powder alone.

Niseko rewards those who take it seriously. Reserve a Signature Suite appointment and arrive knowing every decision was the right one.
