The original ‘Yellow Boot’ was created in 1973, and was named Timberland by its creator, Sidney Swartz. His father, Nathan Swartz, has founded the company Abington Shoe Company 21 years earlier, and he and his brother Herman joined their father’s business a few years after. Sidney’s creation utilised premium full-grain nubuck leather, thick rubber lug soles and high-quality craftsmanship. These features are still found in the entire product range of Timberland today, and it is something the brand prides itself on.
While the aesthetic design of Timberlands has changed little in its lifetime, the technical capabilities of the boots have taken huge strides forward. The utilisation of PrimaLoft synthetic insulation throughout the upper of the boot ensures warmth is provided to the foot of the wearer without adding unnecessary weight to an already hefty boot. The boot is built to handle the harsh conditions of the great outdoors, with a fully seam-sealed waterproof construction serving to keep you dry and comfortable. Finally, an anti-fatigue sole ensures that you will never want to take these boots off by providing unprecedented levels of support.
We at Snowscene are happy to be stocking these classic boots in our store. In both the original ‘Yellow Boot’ colourway and an all-black design, there is a pair to suit any occasion. With classic styling and modern technology, become a Timberland owner today.
